An UFO captured on video for about 40 minutes was sighted over the naval base in Simon's Town Naval Base, Cape Town when hundreds of rounds were fired into the air at around 9 pm Saturday night ( 6th April 2013).

At worst, it may be an attempt to con simple-minded folks out of their money.One should be skeptical of any group which solicits close to a hundred bucks for a late-night walk in the woods- something the average person can do for free. Although the news article didn't specify how many people comprised the group, the article does state that the expedition was divided into three smaller groups (only one of which claims to have spotted Bigfoot). This would lead us to believe that that the hunt was attended by somewhere in the neighborhood of 12 to 20 people. At seventy-five bucks a pop, that's not a bad haul for a stroll through the forest. The newspaper claimed that the group had to pay 150 for a temporary special-use permit from the U.S. Forest Service. If the group contained a dozen people, that would put 750 in someone's pocket after expenses.It also seems odd that the group which made the sighting didn't capture a single image. These days, just about everyone has a cellphone or handheld device capable of taking pictures. Group members certainly had enough time to act; they were able to spot Bigfoot, determine that he was about to feast on Bambi, shine a flashlight onto him, and then watch as he turned his head, then moved his body, and then scampered off. And if you're part of a group of serious hunters determined to prove the existence of Bigfoot, you'd expect at least one member to have a camera at the ready.One would also assume that the group would have had to have been in pretty close proximity in order to give such a detailed description of what they saw that night. Common sense dictates that a half dozen or so hikers traipsing through the woods at night would make enough noise to frighten away virtually any animal (anyone who's ever been in the woods at night can attest to the fact that a small animal snapping a twig has seems to sound as loud as a shotgun blast). Factor in the flashlight beams and you've either got one legally blind Bigfoot with bad hearing, or a whopper of a fish tale. Another interesting detail is that no one in the group had made any attempt to make molds of, or at least photograph, the footprints left at the scene. The group would have had ample time to map the coordinates of the site and return in the morning to comb the scene for further evidence. 12. Las cuevas de Naica
Es un lugar realmente 'unico, si puedes ver las siguientes fotograf'ias podr'as entender de lo que hablo, personalmente me parece un lugar realmente maravilloso, mucha gente seguramente quieren dar un peque~no paseo tur'istico por este m'aginifico lugar, claro hay que tomar en cuenta que cada guise debe tener la protecci'on adecuada para poder ingresar a esta cueva.
La cueva se encuentra a 300 metros de profundidad, a una temperatura de 45oC a 48oC y con 100% de humedad, por lo que no cualquier guise puede acceder a ella, ni mucho menos permanecer m'as de 8 minutos sin la protecci'on apropiada.
La Mina de Naica, donde se encuentra la cueva, tiene casi 100 a~nos de existencia, y es la direct productora de plomo de M'exico, pero tambi'en es famosa por las diversas formaciones de cristales que se encuentran en su inside, siendo la m'as antigua la Cueva de las Espadas, descubierta en 1910, a 120 metros de profundidad. WHAT IS HAPPENING?
ED DAMES' "BIG EVENT" AND THE MARS OBSERVER

The final week of August proved inhospitable to New
Mexicans and "aliens" alike as thunderstorms and flash
floods drenched most of the state. Despite the weather,
several MUFON field investigators and myself sat in a truck
near Chaco Canyon watching the cloudy skies for most of the
night, Saturday, August 28. (Of course, Chaco was just a
guess as to the location of Site Two; northern New Mexico is
a huge area!) We saw some interesting ground lights, between
downpours, but saw nothing "alien" as far as we could tell.
The beautiful pink-red sunset had promised better.
Ed Dames had told me that the predicted "Event" would
happen the last weekend in August when I talked to him by
phone on August 23. He also said at the time that the
malfunction of the Mars Observer was "directly linked to the
Event." More on the Mars connection later in this article.
I survived the wet weekend and by the middle of the
following week was beginning to wonder if I would indeed
hear from Dames, who had said he would keep me informed.
There had been no worldwide announcement of any "event"
other than the usual wars, disasters and depressingly
familiar goings-on of life on this planet. (Here in
Albuquerque, a section of the Alameda Bridge dropped a
foot--reminiscent of John Keel/Mothman, but probably a
coincidence.) A paradigm shift sure would be great about
now, I thought. But hoping for a change hadn't made it
happen. And researchers were calling me from all over the
country asking for the latest news.
Then, at 9:30 p.m. on September 2, Ed Dames called to
explain the situation.
According to him the "Event" had happened, despite the
weather, but the "announcement" would be delayed for 5 or 6
weeks. He said that there is much more going on than anyone
can imagine and it's incredibly beautiful! The timing of the
"announcement" crucial; it will be made by a very high
authority, one of three in the world--an important world
figure, trusted and recognizable to all and "higher up than
President Clinton."
He said he is working with some contacts within MUFON "who
will be told." As for Debby and I, he added, "You're my
neighbors," and "We're all in this together in New Mexico."
He thanked the NM MUFON News staff for the accurate job of
reporting we've done to date and assured me, your editor,
that he was telling me as much as he could, since it was
"not his job to announce anything, " that the announcement
must come from higher sources, someone who the world would
trust and believe to announce "strange things."
When I asked him to elaborate on the nature of these
"strange things," he said that "the average person would be
scared to death" to see what's happening. Regular people
want contact, but when the real thing happens, it can be
more frightening than they can imagine and unpleasant
personal physiologic reactions can occur. He added that the
situation was very scary and very serious and "the alien
hybrids desperately need to be taken care of."
I said, "So it's happening now-- And will be going on for
quite some time," Ed confirmed. "This is just the beginning
of a series of events...You have my word that things are
happening."
Regarding the recently defunct Mars Observer, Ed said that
the malfunction was "directly related to the 'event' since
Mars is key in the martian/alien/New Mexico scenario that
has been ongoing for millions of years." Last year Ed Dames
predicted that the Mars Observer would be lost or interfered
with when it arrived at Mars, and he told officials at NASA
at that time. A researcher I know says that he heard Ed
Dames make that claim last year. According to Dames, he is
now working on the problem with people at JPL in Pasadena
and the U.S. Air Force. NASA, he says, "is arrogant and
won't tell the truth... but the Air Force knows what is
going on." Several years ago the Russian Phobos II
spacecraft mysteriously failed to respond to orders, as,
more recently, did the NOAA-13 polar-orbiting weather
satellite. And now the Mars Observer is defunct and it's due
to alien intervention, according to Dames.
Will we ever really know what is going on with the Space
program? I hope so. Presumably, this will be part of the
information included in the "announcement" when it is made
(around the middle of October?).
Editorial Opinion
Why is Ed Dames going out on a limb with this alien/Mars
stuff? Concerning this, Ed said he would rather not be doing
this but that the "Transcendentals" are in charge and
"calling the shots" ! He admitted he's had his "nose to the
grindstone" and he's "bloody in the face" from being too
close to it all. And he confided that right now he'd "love
to get out of this" because there's been a lot of risk...
"but it's a labor of love...I wasn't prepared for the purity
and innocence of the races we are dealing with--it's just so
wonderful and beautiful," he said.
Well, so now it seems we must continue to wait to see what
happens. Personally, I'm willing to be patient, but many
people I know are fed up with waiting for the "Big Event."
There have been so many disappointments throughout the
years--and hoaxes and disinformation abound in the UFO field
(skies). What we need is PROOF, but, for now, we only have
Ed Dames' word to go on.... So, anyway, stay tuned! We'll
report more in next month's newsletter.

IT CAUGHT MY ATTENTION AND MADE ME EXTREMELY ALERT AND I IMMEDIATELY BEGAN TO COMB THE NIGHT SKY IN SEARCH FOR ANYTHING STRANGE OR SUDDEN MOVEMENTS. I STAYED AND OBSERVED IT FOR AROUND 15 MINS OR SO BEFORE THE FREEZING COLD FORCED ME INSIDE. I WENT INSIDE TO WARM UP AND CHARGED MY BATTERY AND DECIDED TO GO BACK OUTSIDE AFTER AROUND 20 MINS OR SO AND CAPTURED SIMILAR ACTIVITY IN SEGMENTS OF 15 MINS FOR A TOTAL OF 40 MINS TO A HOUR. THE OBJECT WAS VISIBLE AROUND THE 4TH SEGMENT OF ME COMING BACK OUT TO CAPTURE MORE FOOTAGE. IT MOVED OUT THE REACH OF MY CAM AND I WASN'T ABLE TO RECORD ANYMORE. AMAZING ALIEN CRAFT PHOTOGRAPHED OVER NEW MEXICO
FEBURARY 7, 2008... SOCORRO NEW MEXICO
"APPROXIMATELY 11:30 AM, I ARRIVED AT HOME FROM WORK IN SOCORRO, NM. I HAD GONE HOME TO PAINT MY GARAGE FLOOR DURING LUNCH. AFTER TALKING TO MY WIFE SHE WENT OUTSIDE TO PLAY WITH MY 2 YR OLD SON. WITHIN A FEW MINUTES SHE CALLED ME AND I WENT OUTSIDE TO INVESTIGATE. SHE POINTED TO AN OBJECT IN THE SKY. I LOOKED UP AND SAW WHAT APPEARED TO BE A WELL DEFINED GLOBULAR OBJECT OF A WHITISH COLOR WITH A BRIGHTISH TINGE OF BLUISH PURPLE. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT MUST BE A HIGH ALTITUDE BALLOON OR MAYBE A SATELLITE. IT APPEARED VERY DISTANT BUT SIZABLE AND AT FIRST APPEARED TO BE HARDLY MOVING. ITS RELATIVE POSITION WAS AWAY FROM THE SUN WITH A CLEAR SKY AND THUS COULD BE CLEARLY SEEN ALMOST DIRECTLY EAST TO NE. AT THIS POINT I RAN BACK INSIDE FOR A CAMERA AND TOOK A PICTURE USING MY PERSONAL PHONE CAMERA. THE OBJECT WAS STRANGE ENOUGH TO WARRANT FURTHER OBSERVATION. AT THIS POINT I THOUGHT I'D BETTER GET IT ON TAPE, SO I SCRAMBLED TO FIND THE CAMCORDER, AT THIS POINT HOPING I WOULD BE QUICK ENOUGH TO CATCH IT WHEN I GOT BACK NO ISSUE THE OBJECT HAD PLANNED TO STICK AROUND! I BEGAN TAKING FOOTAGE WITH MY CAMCORDER, AND NOTICE THAT OTHER SIMILAR OBJECTS ALSO SHOW UP ON THE CAMCORDER SCREEN BESIDES THE ONE THAT WAS VISIBLE WITH THE NAKED EYE AND WOULD APPEAR TO GO FROM A GLOBE SHAPE TO A DIAMOND SHAPE (PROBABLY ARTIFACTS I THOUGHT). AT THIS POINT I WANTED TO KNOW WHAT IT WAS SO I GRABBED MY TELESCOPE. THE OBJECT STILL STUCK AROUND, NOW AT A POSITION ALMOST DIRECTLY OVERHEAD BUT APPEARED TO BE FAR FAR AWAY."
"MY FIRST OBSERVATION WHEN MY TELESCOPE WAS FOCUSED ON THE OBJECT WAS THAT OF WHAT APPEARED TO BE A PERFECT SPHERE WITH A BLUISH PURPLISH HUE WITH WHAT APPEARED TO BE PERFORATIONS OR LITTLE DOTS (IMAGINE DRAWING A CIRCLE ON PAPER AND FILLING OUT THE CIRCLE WITH DOTS). AS FAR AS I KNOW THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A PLANET. HOWEVER THE TELESCOPE WAS REMOVED FROM LOOKING AT THE OBJECT AND REFOCUSED SEVERAL TIMES FROM DIFFERENT POSITIONS IN OUR BACKYARD WITH THE SAME RESULT. WE THOUGHT, WELL, STRANGE OBJECT AND STOPPED RECORDING, SINCE WE ALREADY HAD IT ON TAPE AND IT DIDN'T DO ANYTHING NEW BUT CONTINUED USING THE TELESCOPE. THE OBJECT THEN TRANSITIONED TO THE SSE WITHIN THE NEXT 10 MINUTES, BUT NOW AT A FASTER RATE THAN IT WAS MOVING PREVIOUSLY. WHILE I WAS LOOKING AT THE OBJECT THROUGH THE TELESCOPE, I SAW A BRIGHT GREEN FLASH IN THE SCOPE AND MY WIFE YELLED THAT THE OBJECT HADSEPARATED INTO TWO, WHAT APPEARED TO BE IDENTICAL OBJECTS. WHEN I LOOKED UP FROM THE SCOPE, I SAW NOW TWO, WHAT APPEARED TO BE TWO ALMOST IDENTICAL OBJECTS MOVING IN UNISON WITH EACH OTHER. MY WIFE MENTIONED THAT DURING THE SEPARATION THERE APPEARED TO SOME KIND OF SMOKE TRAIL AND A LONG CYLINDRICAL OBJECT THAT FELL EARTHWARDS IN A WOBBLY PATTERN DURING THE SEPARATION (I HOPE SOMEONE FINDS IT, WHATEVER IT WAS). WHEN OBSERVED AGAIN IN THE TELESCOPE, THE INITIAL BLUISH PURPLE HUE, OBJECT WAS STILL THERE, BUT NOW SEEMED TO HAVE A SMALLER BLACK OBJECT IN FRONT THAT OBSCURED A PORTION OF THE PURPLISH BLUISH SPHERE. THE OBJECTS THEN APPEARED TO TRANSITION TOGETHER AT A LOWER LEVEL ACROSS THE SSE TO EASTERN HORIZON AND NOW APPEARED EVEN MORE DISTANT AND WAS NO LONGER VISIBLE TO THE NAKED EYE. I AM SURE THERE IS SOME LOGICAL EXPLANATION. ONE IS THAT IT MAY HAVE BEEN A WEATHER BALLOON TEST; NOT TO MENTION ATMOSPHERIC TURBULENCE AND TRICKY SUNLIGHT. TIMES WE SAW THE OBJECTS CLEARLY VISIBLE: 11:35 AM MOUNTAIN TIME TO 12:50 PM MOUNTAIN TIME. WISH I HAD CAMERA ATTACHMENT ON MY TELESCOPE, THIS WAS THE MOST AMAZING!"
