UFO SIGHTING IN PROSPECT, PENNSYLVANIA ON JUNE 22ND 2013 - MORE THAN 10 LIGHTS IN THE SKY
I was in my room on the computer, when my mother came into my room and told me to look at the Super moon. I went back into the house, and my neighbor came over, beating on the door saying "They're Back!" my mother ran out and came back in and told me "Come Look! there are UFO's Out there! Come Quick!" I saw at least five lights in a line taking up most of the western horizon heading northeast dissapearing, one after another, as another appeared over the horizon in the west. UFOs because of the color and there was no sound at all There were at least 20 lights in the sky total, red orbs totally soundless, but my mother said she could hear a humming noise. Traveled in a perfectly straight line, except for the last four, they were offset. I felt Intrigued, and told my mom to go get the Video Camera. My mother felt happy that other people saw it. I lost sight of the object when it dissapeared over our heads.

"WHAT IS THAT NOISE?"
People from all over the world have been posting videos complaining of strange loud annoying odd noises coming from what seems to be everywhere!
I am sure many of the videos are fakes. I watched a few that I was sure sounded exactly like when I use to throw my kids sneakers in the washer or dryer. I also watched a few videos that were very similar to a noise that many Long Island New Yorkers have been hearing without being able to identify the source. I referred to it as the HUM. My sound was a bit more diesel engine in nature however it did have moments it did sound very much like the noises being reported in these new videos. I have written a few articles about the HUM as we have been hearing it here for years.
As I already stated I know many of the videos now hitting the internet concerning this new strange noise are fakes taken from computer games, electronic music etc. I also know some of them are real and unexplained.

They hover in close formation against the backdrop of a cloudy Kent sky.
The two mysterious bright lights were photographed on January 6 floating over Chatham.
Less than a week later four similar lights were seen over Essex, shining brightly against the dawn.
The remarkable sightings were made just 30 miles apart in an area now dubbed the country's UFO hotspot.
The first image was captured by Ernestas Griksas, 21, who was taking a picture of a cherry-picker outside his home in Chatham at around 1pm.

Double trouble: A week later these four glowing discs were seen 30 miles away in the sky over EssexWhen he looked at the image afterwards he saw the bright disc-shaped objects.
He told the Sun: 'There are two white discs I can't explain. I'm nowhere near a flightpath. One is slightly fainter as if it is further away or going at a different speed.'
The second sighting came last Friday at 7am when car salesman Josh Cummins spotted four bright objects in the sky as he drove to work through Loughton, in Essex.
Mr Cummins, 21, told the newspaper: 'I nearly crashed. I stopped to take this picture with my mobile. It was like the UFOs were surfing the clouds. They were there for 15 seconds then vanished.
'I wasn't a believer in UFOs but this made me think again.'
ARE WE ALONE IN THE UNIVERSE?
There have been a number of other recorded UFO sightings in recent years
October 5, 2000: A woman named Sharon Rowlands from Bonsall, Derbyshire claimed to have seen a large luminous pink object hovering and rotating over a nearby field.
26 May, 2004: a 60 metre long cigar-shaped object was seen over Torquay.
November, 2007: Numerous people from the West Midlands conurbation reported sightings of a silent triangle shaped object in the skies in the evening which the press dubbed the Dudley Dorito.
June 8, 2008: A number of UFO sightings took place in Wales which involved a police helicopter following a UFO over Cardiff near MoD St Athan and the Bristol Channel.
September 10, 2009: Three people in a car claimed to have been struck by a colourful beam of light near Lennoxtown, ten miles north of Glasgow. The event reportedly lasted for more than two minutes.UFO fanatics will no doubt lay claim to the sightings as evidence to support their theories of alien life.
Expert Nick Pope said: 'Assuming the images are genuine, they're interesting, though the smaller objects (in the first picture) weren't seen at the time, which raises the possibility of some glitch with the camera.
'As for the large one, I'm not sure. It might be some sort of atmospheric plasma phenomenon, but it's difficult to say.
He added: 'The South-East does seem to be a hotspot at present. I'm not sure why.
'One possibility is that it's a self-fulfilling prophesy, where one media report smokes out more from the same area.
'Another is that it's a consequence of population density as there are more potential witnesses if there's anything odd in the sky.'
Both sightings were about 75 miles, as the crow flies, from Rendlesham Forest, in Suffolk, which became known as the UK's Roswell after a group of servicemen went into the forest to investigate some mysterious lights and came out convinced they had seen seen an alien spacecraft.
Meanwhile, TV presenter Chris Evans reported an unexplained sighting yesterday.
He tweeted: 'Approx 40 mins ago went out to walk the dog. Something passed overhead - alight, too low for a shooting star and then disappeared. Berkshire.'
He added: 'Looked too fast for a Chinese Lantern. Hope it was something exciting.'
Sightings of strange objects in the sky are often explained away as aircraft, reflections in camera lenses, satellites, flares and ball lightning, among other phenonmena.

The number of unexplained UFO sightings over nuclear plants around the world went up by one when a "bright, flashy, platform-like object" was seen hovering over the Arkansas Nuclear One (ANO) water reactor nuclear power plant located near Russellville, Arkansas, on November 8. The witness gave this report to MUFON, which included a description of the effect it had on him physically:
It emitted multi-colored lights as it stay stationary in the sky. For the next following two hours I would check on it periodically. It ascended a flight path over my house and was completely out of view within three minutes. Object had no sound and had a strange electromagnetic-like feeling pulsate through my body as it flew over me.
There has been no information or comments from any government agencies regarding this sighting. That's a concern because of the recent frequency of UFO sightings at nuclear facilities.
A UFO was recorded on video above the Laguna Verde Nuclear Power Station in Mexico on November 5. This is the second report of a UFO at a nuclear site in Mexico in 2 years.
In October, reports began circulating in France of a fleet of 15 UFOs over seven state-owned nuclear plants. With France's 58 plant commitment to nuclear energy, the sightings were initially suspected to be drones operated by Greenpeace in protest. However, Greenpeace denies any association and the French government and EDF ('Electricit'e de France) are said to have no explanations and are investigating the sightings, albeit as "drone" sightings.
Then there were the three bright, orb-like UFOs photographed on January 1, 2014, hovering near the Limerick Generating Station in Pennsylvania. Here's the witness' description:
Never saw lights that bright in the sky before. The objects seemed to be round spheres that at first didn't move at all. The center one seemed slightly raised above the outer ones. They were intense bright white - almost silver.

It's easy to attribute at least some of these sightings to drones. However, security around nuclear plants, especially in France, is pretty tight. And the orbs in Pennsylvania don't look like drones.
If these really are UFOs, why are they hovering over nuclear plants? Fuel? Weapons? Attack plans? As the number of sightings mounts, so do the unanswered questions.

U.S. intelligence leaks involving UFO activity seem to be a bit of a quandary for federal government agencies. How do you publicly admonish someone who is passing along information that the same government denies? UFO-Nukes researcher and author Robert Hastings is putting the odd puzzle together, according to a July 30, 2013, press release issued from his website. Hastings' research goes back to 1973 when he began interviewing former U.S. military personnel about UFO activity. In 1982 he went on the college circuit to reveal his findings. He now understands that the FBI had an interest in his research and possibly in the fact that he was disseminating that information around the country. "In 2012," Hastings writes,veteran UFO researcher and Freedom of Information requestor Larry W. Bryant sent me a letter he had received from the FBI -- in response to a FOIA request on my behalf -- in which the bureau acknowledged that their records indicated the existence of files on my UFO-related activities. However, according to the letter, a search for those files was unsuccessful because they were supposedly 'missing'. Neither Bryant nor I believe that to be the case. During the same time period in 1982, Hastings believes that his telephone calls to military veterans were tapped. Two technicians who had private communications with Hastings by email or telephone were contacted by their superiors.Unfortunately, I was later informed by my contact that two of those missile technicians, upon retiring in June 2011, were informed by their superiors that a 'flag' had been placed in their Air Force service records, relating to their unauthorized disclosures about the incident. Hastings believes that the same government policies that keep the UFO issue quiet are also hampering the UFO information leaks.In this type of situation -- where active duty Air Force personnel leak information about UFOs near nuclear weapons sites to outsiders -- the Pentagon becomes trapped by its own deceptive policy of claiming that UFOs pose no threat to U.S. national security. (It was this official stance -- UFOs, even if they exist, are not a threat -- that was used to justify the closure of the Air Force's UFO study, Project Blue Book, in 1969.) Attorney, contractor, and ET contactee Gordon James Gianninoto provided an update on what he knows about Planet X and the coming pole shift, the nature of gravity, Earth's 'dark twin,' and why he believes the government is covering up imminent global catastrophe. The recent return of Planet X to our solar system has resulted in disruptions, including universal climate change and a rise of solar activity, that are merely a prelude to the calamities which will unfold once it gets closer to Earth. But Planet X is not merely a rogue celestial body, he declared, "this is definitely an inhabited planet. It's volcanic, atmospheric, and oceanic and it's inhabited by tall, selfish humans." He contended that the denizens of Planet X are actually the Annunaki, a race of space faring aliens that once had a colony on Earth and created human beings as slaves to mine for gold.
According to Gianninoto, the Annunaki's mistreatment of humans caused the "Council of Worlds, which are the unselfish extraterrestrials" to intervene and force them off of Earth by thwarting their projects on the planet. Unable to return to Planet X, these deposed Annunaki traveled to Mars to live and continue their gold mining, while they waited for their home world to return. Gianninoto claimed that these aliens brought their supplies and livestock with them to Mars, but eventually the marooned Annunaki died out there before they could rejoin their brethren on Planet X. Current images from the Mars NASA rovers, he said, show artifacts and debris from the Annunaki civilization that once lived there.
Gianninoto revealed that the US government found evidence of Planet X in 1983, but it was quickly declared top secret via an executive order by President Reagan. However, the "Council of Worlds" have told President Obama that he must announce the truth about Planet X to the world, since it is getting closer to Earth and will soon cause a polar shift. Gianninoto suggested that, should there be an announcement about Planet X, the government will purposely avoid using that name for it, so that people do not find out about the impending global catastrophe. Regardless of the foreknowledge available, he warned that up to 90% of the population will die from the events caused by Planet X going past Earth. Fortunately for the survivors, he said, "unselfish ETs" subsequently provide help for the like-minded humans remaining on Earth.
Overcoming Chronic Pain:
In the first hour, orthopedic spinal surgeon Dr. David Hanscom discussed how the mind can be more powerful at healing chronic pain than surgery. He attributed chronic pain to pathways created in the brain due to repetitive pain impulses. As such, Hanscom explained that by calming down the nervous system, using methods like getting better sleep, reducing anxiety or stress, and taking medications, the brain can create pathways around their pain-inducing counterparts. This cerebral aspect of chronic pain, he said, is the reason why is remains so difficult for doctors to eradicate it and often leads to surgeries that ultimately do more harm than good for their patients.

UFO sighting over Derbyshire border
"A series of orange lights flew across the sky, in pairs, numbering about 12. They passed over us and moved off just north of East Midlands Airport.
"In all it took just over five minutes for them to pass. Three teenage children saw them also from our window."

UFO seen above Harborough
A BAFFLED office worker who saw a strange silver ball hovering in the skies above Harborough has appealed for other witnesses to come forward.
Rachael Berry said she saw the shiny, metallic looking ball moving above fields near to the Brampton Valley Way before it disappeared from her sight near Clack Hill.

She said: "This thing hovered up and down and across quite slowly. It was too big in scale to be a simple party balloon. It was quite visible in the distance from my office window.

UFOs spotted over Worcester
THIS cluster of colourful lights was spotted in the sky over Worcester as a city man was photographing clouds in the early hours.
It is the latest sighting of mysterious lights hovering over the county in the past two weeks, igniting rumours of UFOs.
The bright, cylindrical spots were captured on camera by Worcester News reader Andy Ball at 12.05am yesterday. The 19-year-old was taking photos of rare clouds from his home in Cherry Orchard, Worcester, when the lights appeared.

Mr Madden was on his way back from Manchester with colleague Michael Casson, 22, at 9.50pm on Sunday June 29 when he saw the suspected 'extra-terrestrial' craft.
He said: "I work with aircraft and grew up next to Manchester Airport so I know exactly what a plane looks and sounds like. This was definitely not a plane.
"It was a circular disc which was glowing bright, hovering hundreds of metres up.
"Other people must have spotted it. It was unlike anything I've ever seen in my life. It really did look like the alien aircraft in films. It had an antenna fixed to the back."

I went out side to smoke a cig at 10 fifteen pm and I had a feeling that I was going to see something. I was staring at the sky, there was lots of stars, I had a feeling I was going to see something and then I did. It was very wierd I couldnt stop staring at it. It was first like a normal star but it was moving back and forth, not the whole sky just a small part but it was making directional changes, then it got really bright, brighter than any star and it was still moving, not a constant speed either I was in awe. It then blinked out and came back like it was when I first saw it. It moved north, getting bright and dim a few times. I know this was not some shooting star, and not anything else because it changed directions a few times. I live a mile from an airport also, I am an airplane mech, and I know planes. This was no plane. I really want someone north of me to be looking in the sky now, maybe in MASS, new hampshire, vermont, or maine. It was moving quick and dead north,I was mesmorized by it. This is not my first sighting either, and for some reason I knew I was going to see something tonight. I really want someone else to see the same thing, so I would have proof.Jon

Did you guess 1947? You're partly right -- or at least not completely wrong -- that is, if you believe the Roswell story.
The year I was going for was exactly 50 years earlier: 1897.
Surprise! 1897 is the year a strange "airship" was reported to have crashed just outside Aurora, Texas, after which the remains of the pilot were recovered and declared by the local government man to be "from Mars." I've been studying the case after reading an article my Dad recently sent me (about airship sightings here in Wisconsin), and the more I read about it the more I am amused by the uncanny similarities between the Aurora story and the Roswell story. It certainly seems to me that the Roswell story must have been "inspired" by the Aurora story; after all, Aurora "happened" first.

(There's a lot of good material available on the Aurora incident, and I am indebted to author Daniel Cohen, whose 1981 book "The Great Airship Mystery: A UFO of the 1890s"," is a fun read and a treasure trove of information on the topic.)
The Aurora crash took place amidst a flap of airship sightings making headlines around the country. Starting in the fall of 1896 and continuing well into the following year, strange aerial vehicles with amazing properties were sighted in the skies over Sacramento, San Francisco, Omaha, Chicago and Dallas. Unlike today's UFOs, the airships were not shy about appearing over major metropolitan centers, in broad daylight, in front of hundreds of witnesses...
Then, in April of 1897, an airship was seen over Aurora, losing altitude and speed, as though it was malfunctioning. The ship crashed into the windmill on a farm and exploded, scattering debris over several acres and leaving behind the charred and disfigured remains of the pilot, whom the witnesses insisted was not of this world. A local reporter wrote up the events in the "Dallas Morning News" two days after the crash, and that's the last anyone had to say on the matter until decades later, when UFOlogists rediscovered the story and started to investigate in that wonderful, wacky way UFOlogists investigate things.
The biggest point of departure between the Aurora and Roswell stories is that the Aurora alien didn't get spirited away to a secret base in Nevada, or hidden in a high-security hangar in Ohio. He wasn't subjected to an autopsy and he didn't appear on cable TV. His existence was neither leaked nor covered-up. Nobody has discovered 1897 Kodachrome slides purporting to prove that he was real.
Nope, according to the newspaper report, the Aurora alien received a decent Christian burial at the town cemetery mere hours after the crash. He still rests there today, or so the story goes. Amazingly, none of the locals seems to have ever made any fuss about a spaceman -- who may or may not have a soul -- being interred in the same hallowed ground as their kinfolk, which just goes to show you how decent some people can be.
This story fascinates me on a whole lot of levels, not the least of which is the unavoidable "copycat" factor where Roswell is concerned. Seriously, how could these two incidents -- apparently taking place "exactly" 50 years apart -- be so eerily similar, unless the later event was a complete re-boot and rip-off of the earlier event? And how could this guy, of all guys, seriously disparage the Aurora story? I'm still laughing at that.
I think it's safe to say that the Aurora alien is every bit as real -- or as fake -- as the Roswell alien(s). But, personally, I'm rooting for the Aurora alien.
On July 8, 1947, Air Force Gen. Roger Ramey held a press event at the 8th Army Air Force headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas, in which he allegedly changed the just-released story of a recovered crashed disk near Roswell, N.M., to that of a retrieved Rawin weather balloon.
To UFO believers, this marked the beginning of a 64-year cover-up by the U.S. government and other major foreign countries to deny or hide the reality that extraterrestrials have made contact with Earth.
Now, a group of UFO truthers is hoping to turn this date into one of revelation, not repression, by declaring July 8 as the first ever "World Disclosure Day."
It's an annual 24-hour period when pro-disclosure advocates like Stephen Bassett hope people will focus attention on an alleged truth embargo that he says has resulted in the withholding of knowledge by all major world governments about a supposed extraterrestrial presence here on Earth.
In addition, supporters are encouraged to discuss how things might change once an official announcement has been made and what policies should -- or have been -- enacted by world leaders post-disclosure.
Bassett is a registered lobbyist who runs the Extraterrestrial Phenomena Political Action Committee, an organization that since the late 1990s has been demanding Congress release information about the presence of aliens as soon as possible.
Among his accomplishments since he started his UFO activism include popularizing the term "truth embargo" instead of the old "UFO cover-up."
Although Bassett would like the U.S. to be the first country to declare the existence of aliens on this planet, he says there are at least a dozen countries that are on their way to doing so, such as Russia, China, Brazil, France and the United Kingdom.
"There was an arms race, a space race, and now we have a disclosure race," he told AOL Weird News in an email interview. "There are a dozen or so countries that might well effect disclosure tomorrow. It is hoped the Obama administration will become aware of this and take action."
As close as we may be to the official E.T. announcement, Bassett doesn't expect it to happen on "World Disclosure Day." At least not this year.
"The purpose of World Disclosure Day is to provide a focal point for people and organizations to come together to assert their right to know extraordinary information being withheld from them by their governments -- the truth embargo," he said. "World Disclosure Day will also help broaden public awareness of the disclosure process and those organizations involved in this advocacy work."
The date of July 8 wasn't pulled out of a hat, Bassett says. It is definitely meant to harken back to Gen. Ramey's original press conference in 1947.
"This was the informal beginning of the now 64-year truth embargo regarding an extraterrestrial presence," Bassett said. "For this reason, the date July 8 was chosen to emphasize the need to reverse that now inappropriate policy."
Although disclosure of an alien presence would be the biggest news story in modern history, Bassett doesn't expect his "UFO-liday" supporters to hold big events.
"At this point in time, you don't celebrate WDD, you participate in it," he said. "The first phase of developing this concept is acquiring endorsements from around the world. This is underway now. "
More than 1,700 endorsements have come in since July 1, when World Disclosure Day was announced, Bassett said. Endorsements are being sorted by the U.S. and international countries, and any endorsements from persons or organizations of special note will be highlighted in a separate section.
"It's still new, so the high-profile endorsements haven't come yet," he admitted.
It's true. Even people who do believe there has been an E.T. presence for decades, like Stanton Friedman, a nuclear physicist who was the first civilian to investigate the Roswell crash in the late 1960s, are skeptical about the concept, and warns that it doesn't consider all the questions that need to be answered in advance.
"I think the intentions are good but do not consider the many ramifications from a national security viewpoint and don't really deal with the difficulties," said Friedman, who on July 31 will be giving a speech entitled "Are We Ready For Contact?" to attendees at the Mutual UFO Network symposium in Irvine, Calif.
Friedman said that getting major world leaders to give up the secrets about extraterrestrials also requires them to possibly give up power (something they won't do easily).
"Will everybody be willing to share any technical information they may have learned and which almost by definition will involve serious military consequences?" he asked. "Nobody in power wants to give up power. Nationalism is the only game in town. Who would give up power? It seems to me that all leaders would feel they have more to lose than to gain by disclosure."
Bassett said that the announcement of World Disclosure Day is actually just the start of his plan.
The second phase will be developing as much public awareness as possible of WDD over the next 12 months, and also to educate people on what will happen after the extraterrestrial presence is announced.
Bassett said the revelations would require a new school of politics called exopolitics, the politics of dealing with extraterrestrials, something that people like Michael Salla, a scholar in international politics, conflict resolution and U.S. foreign policy, are already researching.
Salla said that it's imperative for the planet to have a plan just in case an E.T. decides to make Earth his new home.
"It's not necessary to assume E.T.s are real, just possible," Salla told AOL Weird News. "Then you prepare for it and think through all the issues."
According to Salla, those issues include deciding how the alien presence would be announced (he advocates announcing the presence of microbes and working up to more sentient beings), and who would be in control -- a secret committee or a corporate entity.
Even more important: If the E.T.s have superior technology, should they be forced to share it?
Of course, another big issue is determining the protocol for contact between humans and aliens, lest either side be exposed to strange viruses, a Romeo and Juliet situation between Martians and Earthlings -- or worse.
"A big question is how will humans interact with aliens," Salla said. "If someone is threatened by one, will they take a shot at them while driving by? And, if so, will this be as illegal as shooting a human?"
But while these pioneering exo-politicians figure out the answers to these questions, the truth is that the current economic and political climate on Earth drastically affects if and when disclosure happens, according to Bassett.
"The election of Barack Obama helps disclosure because he, unlike George Bush or Bill Clinton, is acceptable to the military/intelligence managers as a disclosure president," Bassett said. "Recent nuclear reduction treaties also helped by reducing instability and tensions, thus creating a safer disclosure transition."
Bassett said the unfolding economic collapse in Europe and the United States are also hindering disclosure, because "that creates great uncertainty and gets politicos running scared."
Surprisingly, Bassett said the recent suspension of funding for the Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI) program by NASA is actually a good thing for disclosure advocates like him.
"SETI was created as a propaganda front to take pressure off the government.," Bassett said. "It would have looked awkward if there was not an effort to 'look for extraterrestrials.'
"It was funded by NASA," he added. "When it was launched the government already knew E.T.s were here. Do the math. Later on, members of the SETI program would debunk UFO research and researchers, etc. SETI is one of the worst corruptions of science ever."
SETI senior astronomer Seth Shostack declined to comment on Bassett's remarks.
Meanwhile, another disclosure supporter, Bryce Zabel, hopes that true believers take inspiration from the recent Arab Spring in the Middle East.
"The Arab Spring, while not totally related to disclosure, is a great model," said Zabel, the creator of "Dark Skies," a UFO conspiracy theory-based sci-fi television series that aired on NBC between 1996 and 1997. "When people want something, they will take to the streets and get it. Substitute Area 51 for Tahir Square and you get the picture."
However, some skeptics, such as Joe Nickell of the Center for Skeptical Inquiry in Amherst, N.Y., thinks having 100 World Disclosure Days over the next century won't make a bit of a difference if there is nothing to disclose.
"There's no such evidence for these claims," he said. "All of the claims that aliens exist and are being hidden somewhere are fantasies and hoaxes. A lot of conspiracy theories like this are un-American, and this is very similar to the Obama birth certificate claims."

MULTIPLE UFO SITES AND BLOGS HAVE REPORTED THIS UFO SIGHTING VIDEO OVER MICHIGAN. IS IT A GENUINE UFO OR COULD IT BE EXPLAINED IN CONVENTIONAL MEANS?
Last week, Jeff Holko, a local resident of Grand Blanc, Michigan, captured two bright yellow lights with his cell phone. The two lights turned into three lights as they moved across the sky.
At first glance the lights do seem to resemble classic UFO sightings - stationary or slowly movinghovering, with no sound made, hiding what might be a solid structure behind them. Later on an article was published on Huffingtonpost.com, interviewing photo and video expert Marc Dantonio, who was quite sure as he said the sighting is 'near 100 percent certainty a commercial aircraft during landing'.It could be more than easy to verify Mr. Dantonio's claims, just go back to the sighting site and see it is indeed on the landing route of a commercial airport. Until that is done this video shows what should be labeled a genuine UFO.

If you're searching for an out-of-this-world event to take in this summer you might want to check out the 2009 UFO Festival and Symposium in Shag Harbour on Aug. 14/15.
This is the third year for the event and organizers are anticipating more visitors than ever.
A slash in the entry price for this year's symposium is expected to help. Last year close to 50 registered at 35/each. This year's price for the symposium is 10. Four UFO speakers/researchers, half the number of presenters for 2008, have been booked to cut costs.
"Last year we had eight speakers that we had to pay for, plus their gas mileage and a flight from the U.S. for one speaker," said Cindy Nickerson, chair of the Shag Harbour Incident Society. The organization broke even thanks to funding and residents who hosted speakers.
On Friday, Aug. 14 the action starts at the UFO museum centre in Shag Harbour at 9 a.m. with displays by local artists: Jillian Kendrick (Shag Harbour Sea Glass); John Cameron paintings and Ruth Rocks, a local folk artist who paints aliens on rocks. The UFO researchers will also be selling copies of their books.
At 10 a.m. a press conference is scheduled, followed by a barbecue at 11 a.m. and entertainment by Dale Nickerson. At 1 p.m.
Chris Styles will preview his new book.
"We recommend that people bring lawn chairs so they'll be able to sit for the afternoon," said Nickerson.
At 3 p.m. there will be a draw for four to win a lobster supper with the researchers. At 5 p.m. the supper will be served at the Stage Coach Inn (cost to be announced).
On Saturday, Aug. 15, the UFO centre opens at 10 a.m. The symposium starts at the Island and Barrington Fire Hall at 9:15 a.m. with David Cvet, followed by Chris Styles at 10:45 a.m.
An Alien Caf'e will be open for lunch and presenters will have their books for sale along with local artist's wares. At 1 p.m. Don Ledger takes the stage, followed by Stanton Friedman at 2:30 p.m. There will be a panel session hosted by the four presenters at 4:30 p.m.
At 7 p.m. a variety show (cost 5) will be held at the Island and Barrington Fire Hall with several musical acts, a comedian and Chris Styles performing. Participants are encouraged to enter the Alien Costume Contest and dress up as anything related to space. There will be a prize for the best costume.
Nickerson says "loads of people" have been emailing and phoning about the festival.
"The furthest person that I know of is coming from Denmark and another lady is coming from California. I think the longer that you do this, and the more people that know about it, the more interest there is from people to come."

I am talking like you were sitting next to me I used to have a picture of the one at the lake don't know what ever happened to it just to long ago I went back ther the next day it was not there the ufo people were like 3-4 ft. tall guessing I waved one blue waved back the ufo was disk shaped I went to us air force office they gave me about 4 page of papers to fill out I never did. In August or September of 2010 (exact date unknown) he had a sighting of what may well have been a Flying Triangle craft. He knew nothing of this type of craft until he saw one of Richard Hall's shows recently. After realising this could have been what he saw, he decided to get in touch via Richard's website. This report covers the details of this interesting case.Sighting DetailsIt was about 10pm in the evening and John was sitting out on the back patio of his house on Sheridan Walk. It was a mild evening and the sky was completely clear. The sun had gone down and the stars were fully visible. John was facing to the North with a view down the garden. At the base of the garden is a row of trees so he is not able to see clearly into the distance.Aerial map of Sheridan Walk:Suddenly John noticed something come into view from behind the tree tops. There was what appeared to be a large triangular shaped object moving towards his location in a South Easterly direction. It appeared to be at quite low altitude, possibly around 1000 feet. It was completely black in colour and could be seen against the sky as it blocked out the stars. There was no lighting or markings on the object visible. John estimates it was about 100 yards across. When John first noticed the UFO it was at an angle of about 50 degrees. However soon it had reached him and flew right overhead. He noticed that it was completely equilateral in shape. After about 20 seconds the object had flown out of sight.John did not have a camera on him at the time, but he says even if he did the object would probably not have come out as it was black against the night sky.Sighting AnalysisThis is a fascinating sighting, and I feel it may well have been a Flying Triangle craft. Usually this craft type is seen with lights on the base, either at each corner and the centre or right around the edges. The fact that John saw no lights on it is unusual but perhaps it had them switched off at the time for whatever reason. It does not sound like a conventional aircraft of any kind. All planes would fly with lights on after dark, so the fact no lights were seen suggests it was something else. There was also no sound coming from the object even though it appeared to be at relatively low altitude. It is extremely unlikely that someone would be flying a hand glider over the town after dark.If it was the size that it appeared to be to the witness, then I find it highly unlikely it was an inflatable of some kind drifting on an air current. The path it took seemed too direct and level for this, and remember that it was a very still calm night. It also seems much to large to have been a remote controlled model, and this would almost certainly make sound of some kind.I feel the most likely explanation for the object is that it was a Flying Triangle craft, which possibly was flying without lights on or possibly didn't have any lights to begin with. Some believe these craft are an ongoing secret military project but if so this is taking place on a global level. It would also be completely illogical to fly it directly over a populated area in plain sight. America's Next Rocket
NASA's Space Launch System, or SLS, will be the most powerful rocket in history. The flexible, evolvable design of this advanced, heavy-lift launch vehicle will meet a variety of crew and cargo mission needs. In addition to carrying the Orion spacecraft, SLS will transfer important cargo, equipment and science experiments to deep space, providing the nation with a safe, affordable and sustainable means to expand our reach in the solar system. It will allow astronauts aboard Orion to explore multiple deep-space destinations including an asteroid and ultimately Mars. The first configuration of the SLS launch vehicle will have a 70-metric-ton (77-ton) lift capacity and carry an un-crewed Orion spacecraft beyond low-Earth orbit to test the performance of the integrated system. As the SLS is evolved, it will be the most powerful rocket ever built and provide an unprecedented lift capability of 130 metric tons (143 tons) to enable missions even farther into our solar system. J. Allen Hynek, investigator and scientific advisor for the U.S. Air Force's "Project Blue Book" witnessed a ufo while flying as a passenger aboard an airliner and took a couple pictures of the unidentified object.
According to the story, "He suddenly noticed a white object at his altitude, seemingly flying at the same speed as the plane and made sure it wasn't a reflection and quickly snapped some pictures".
Dr. Hynek was able to get two pairs of stereoscopic photographs of the ufo but unfortunately the negatives seem to be misplaced or forever lost.
The pictures were included in Hyneks book "The UFO Experience" and other than asking the readers what the object might be, he didn't say very much about the sighting.

The UFO problem has involved military personnel around the world for more than sixty years, and is wrapped in secrecy. Because this subject is so widely ridiculed, it is important to stress why it is worthy of serious attention.
Stories of strange objects in the sky go far back in time, but from the 1940s to our own era, military personnel from the United States and many other nations have encountered unidentified flying objects visually and on radar, sometimes at close range. These events happened not scores of times, but hundreds of times, and most likely thousands.
Sometimes, the encounter was nothing more than a solid radar return of an object moving at an incomprehensible speed, performing impossible maneuvers. Sometimes it included the violation of sensitive air space. Often it involved the dispatch of one or more aircraft to intercept the object. At times, crew members have claimed to see a metallic, disc-like object, sometimes with portholes, sometimes with lights, frequently engaged in what appeared to be intelligent, evasive maneuvers. In a very few cases, it appears to have involved the military retrieval of a UFO. In a few others, it involved injury and even death to military personnel. In a very large number of recorded instances, military personnel who encountered UFOs were adamant that they did not see a natural phenomenon.
This is clearly a serious development, and it has been treated as such by those groups charged with maintaining national security. The CIA, NSA, and all branches of military intelligence have historically received UFO reports and discussed the matter as something of serious concern.
And yet, the military and other branches of government have created the fiction, for public consumption only, that the UFO problem is nothing to be concerned about - certainly not the result of little green men.
We are fortunate that, starting in the 1970s, the U.S. Freedom of Information Act began to help researchers learn some of the truth that lay behind the facade of propaganda. We learned, for example, that some U.S. military analysts initially feared that the Soviet Union might be behind the "flying saucer" wave of the 1940s and 50s. They studied this possibility, but rejected it. They also rejected the possibility that these were secret American technology.
Indeed, options quickly narrowed. Either this was something real and alien, or it was something "conventional" but as yet unknown or unexplained. Already, by the end of 1947, a contingent of analysts at the Air Technical Intelligence Center (ATIC) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base believed that UFOs were extraterrestrial. By the summer of 1948, this team prepared what they called an "Estimate of the Situation" stating the extraterrestrial thesis. The response: the team was dispersed and reassigned.
Yet, thanks to FOIA and the courage of a few senior officials to go on the record, we have a collection of statements about UFOs that are so numerous as to be impossible to mention all of them here. But a few might give you an appropriate flavor of what I mean.
This one is from General Robert B. Landry, Air Force Aide to President Harry S. Truman
"I was called one afternoon [in 1948] to come to the Oval Office - the President wanted to see me.... I was directed to report quarterly to the President after consulting with Central Intelligence people, as to whether or not any UFO incidents received by them could be considered as having any strategic threatening implications...."
Landry went on to say that he continued to brief President Truman, in conjunction with the CIA, quarterly for the rest of the Truman Presidency. That's no less than sixteen briefings. We might want to know why a man as busy as President Truman would take the time out of his schedule to have so many meetings about UFOs? And yet, we have no official transcript or record of these briefings.
This is a statement from a Top Secret 1948 Air Force Intelligence report, "Analysis of Flying Object Incidents in the U.S."
"The frequency of reported sightings, the similarity in many of the characteristics attributed to the observed objects and the quality of observers considered as a whole, support the contention that some type of flying object has been observed.... The origin of the devices is not ascertainable."
An Air Force Intelligence Report from 1951, relating to an aerial encounter by a U.S. fighter pilot:
[Object] described as flat on top and bottom and appearing from a front view to have round edges and slightly beveled... No vapor trails or exhaust or visible means of propulsion. Described as traveling at tremendous speed....
And, one more statement from the early years, this one from a former head of the Central Intelligence Agency, Roscoe Hillenkoetter, in 1960:
Behind the scenes, high-ranking Air Force officers are soberly concerned about UFOs. But through official secrecy and ridicule, many citizens are led to believe the unknown flying objects are nonsense.
How much clearer a statement should responsible citizens, academicians, media, and political leadership require before demanding to get some reasonable answers as to what is going on behind the scene in relation to the phenomenon of UFOs?
Because the problem certainly did not end during the 1960s, or 1970s, or 1980s. It has continued to the present day.
During the summer of 2002, just outside this city, over the town of Waldorf, Maryland, dozens of witnesses reported an incredible scene: multiple jet fighters chasing multiple, large, and unknown objects that were of blue and orange coloration. All the witnesses, two of whom I interviewed personally, and several of whom spoke to national media, described the amazing performance capability of these objects. The Air Force itself admitted it had scrambled F-16s to investigate unknowns, and admitted it had tracked at least one UFO on radar. We were told that the UFO simply disappeared from the radar. The Air Force conclusion: it could have been "any number of things."
Perhaps we might like to know... precisely which things?
What blue object can descend at an 80 degree angle, then stop, then reverse course, and then accelerate away from two F-16 jets?
Over Chicago's O'hare Airport, in November, 2006, we saw the same kind of situation. A dozen United Airlines employees, including at least one pilot while on the ground, saw a hovering disc-shaped object below the clouds. It then accelerated away so suddenly that it left a hole in the cloud.
United ordered its employees to silence, but one of them reported the event, anyway. After denials by United and the FAA, both agencies were forced to acknowledge that, indeed, those individuals had made UFO reports. Again, we might ask: what might this have been, over one of the busiest airports in the world, and why the steadfast silence and denial?
These are only some of the better known recent cases. There are, in fact, an overwhelming number of them. The two largest websites for collecting North American UFO reports, the National UFO Reporting Center and the Mutual UFO network, have a combined total of well over 10,000 reports every year. Clearly, many or most of these would turn out to be something prosaic. But go through some of these reports. Many of them are truly incredible, and many of them have indeed received followup investigation. They are unexplained, and - at least by our conventional wisdom - unexplainable.
The combination of astonishing performance, powerful statements from selected senior officials, and steadfast silence and dismissal by our political establishment point to a problem. This is not merely the problem of cognitive dissonance. It is the problem a political system in which the wheels have fallen off the machine.
It is imperative in the name of science and responsible public policy that we get those wheels back on, and begin a genuine, open, investigation of this phenomenon. We demand and deserve answers from responsible officials who ought to be in the know. And if they are not in the know, we all need to investigate and find out just who is. Thank you.
